Title: Breakdown Struggles.
God can change things. The things you struggle with, He can change them. But it requires real, literal surrender. Are you ready for that?
2 Corinthians 10:4
“The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds” (NIV).
I am guessing you and I are a lot alike. Why? Because we are human. So I know that you’ve had —just as I have — real hurt, real pain, and real temptation. There are strongholds the devil has established in our lives that keep us from God: addiction, pride, lust, gluttony, gossip, judgmentalism, fear, and complacency, just to name a few. However, God has called us to more than just an unending struggle within ourselves. He has called us to fight alongside Him in a war to break down these strongholds.
If we will pray bold prayers — daring prayers of trust and desperation — God can defeat these strongholds. But we need to be willing to pray some dangerous prayers. It’s time to move away from the pseudo safety of weak prayers. It’s time to open our hearts to a life of intimacy with and reliance on God. It’s time.
No more safe prayers.
No more comfortable prayers.
Let’s live dangerously.
Prayer: God, I have failed you. I have strongholds that I struggle to break, but I am trusting You with my strongholds. Break them down.
